Bio

Alayna Bell, native to Georgia, is currently living and working in Chicago, IL as an active arts administrator and horn player. After receiving her Bachelor in Music Performance from Columbus State University in GA, she is now working toward a masters degree in horn performance from DePaul University studying with members of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Lyric Opera. Alayna is co-founder of the award-winning woodwind quintet, Shades Wind Quintet, LLC. In addition to her musical goals, she is also an avid arts administrator. Alayna has served as Program Manager for the Young Artist’s Harp Seminar and Competition since 2017. Since moving to Chicago, she works as Music Librarian and Personal Assistant at Cliff Colnot Music, Inc. and is an Ensemble Librarian at the DePaul University School of Music Library. Before moving to Chicago, she served as Operations Director and Education Coordinator at the Columbus Symphony Orchestra (GA) for three seasons. In her free time, she loves to stay active, cook, and spend time with family, friends, and her chubby, eleven-year-old cat, Gertle.
