Now accepting applications for the 2022 Young Artist’s Harp Competition!

Entering the Young Artist’s Harp Competition is a three-step process. Please do the following:

  1. Submit the online entry form below by 6:00 p.m. ET  (New York time) May 1, 2022.
  2. Upload your video audition recording, along with your birth certificate and proof of COVID-19 vaccination to the Dropbox link we email you by 11:59 p.m. ET on May 1, 2022. (Be sure to read the audition recording requirements section here.)
  3. Pay your Entry Fee by 11:59 ET on May 1, 2022.

Once we have received your online application, you will be invited to share a private Dropbox folder where you can upload your video audition recording. Please visit www.dropbox.com to install the Dropbox application. We recommend that you do this well in advance so that you can become familiar with the procedure and how to use Dropbox. Anticipate that videos take time to upload, and allow sufficient time. Your application and your video do not need to be submitted together, so you may wish to apply early in order to have ample time to be sure your Dropbox is set up properly.

Please use the following file name format for your materials: first name-last name-division-document. Example:

Receipt of competition entries will be confirmed via e-mail, at the primary email address provided on your entry form.

Video Audition Repertoire

Please list the complete titles and composers of the the three pieces included on your video audition in the order they are performed. Give accurate title and composer information, especially in the free choice category where a piece may be unfamiliar to us.(Once we have received your application, you will receive a Dropbox link to upload your audition file.)

The Young Artist's Harp Seminar and Competition (YAHS) is planning an in person experience in summer 2022. We will follow the safety recommendations of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), along with the recommendations and requirements of Washington College, to provide an environment that is safe for our students, faculty, staff, and audience members. All students, faculty, and staff attending the Young Artist's Harp Seminar and Preparatory Division, along with competitors participating in the live final round of the Young Artist's Harp Competition, must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Acceptable vaccines include those approved by the World Health Organization (WHO) or U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Proof of vaccination is required. This applies to all ages that are eligible according to the CDC. YAHS follows CDC guidelines for what is considered fully vaccinated, which may include booster shots. Face masks may be required depending on current CDC guidelines and Washington College requirements. Please note that YAHS will continue to monitor current CDC guidelines, and this policy may change accordingly.

Entry Fee Payment

After you submit this form, you will be taken to a page to pay your application fee online securely using Paypal. All payments must be done online; do not send checks or money orders. Entries will not be considered complete until we receive your Entry Fee payment. Entry Fees must be received by 11:59 p.m. on May 1, 2020. The Entry Fee is $80 for New Artist and Emerging Artist entries; $60 for Preparatory Division entries.
